Kind words from

Aideen & Nigel

“We spent yesterday evening looking at your photos. They are out of this world beautiful. The great pics just kept coming. There are photos not just for us but family and friends. The children’s shots were just breathtaking! I don’t know how we are going to choose photos for the walls. We feel so lucky you were available, couldn’t have wished for more.”

Morning Preparations

“Ballinacurra House was the first venue we saw. We actually called in originally without an appointment. Lisa was good enough to show us around and we were absolutely blown away by the venue in general, the themed bedrooms and the bright and airy Garden Room for the reception. So much love and attention to detail has been invested in the property. Yet it’s still a relaxed and laid back operation.”

“The proposal happened two days before Christmas wrapping Christmas presents in our sitting room, the way I always wanted it.”

“We had a humanist ceremony with our HSE recognized solemniser Bill Chase. This allowed us to celebrate our love for each other and with our closest friends and family in our own chosen intimate environment . We also felt we could have a lot of our own input into the words, readings and music. We were really fortunate as the Humanist Association of Ireland had just been permitted to officiate legal ceremonies. In fact ours was granted just in the nick of time and was the first legally recognised humanist ceremony in Munster. Because we were in the middle of a heat wave (32 degrees!) we were also able to have our ceremony outdoors on the lawn.”

“Marriage means unity and the recognition that we have chosen each other. ”

“We met at a friend’s going away night nearly 12 years ago in an old nightclub called MONO on Wexford Street in Dublin. I knew it was love early on in the relationship when one evening I was particularly upset about something but he just didn’t baulk and was so great and sweet. He claims it was the twinkle in his eye and when he mentioned he was a Tipperary man.”

“The colour theme was not decided until two weeks before the wedding as one of my bridesmaids had a baby seven weeks prior and we waited to pick out the dresses. The neutral colours of the wedding including cake and flowers complemented the cream bridesmaids dresses. ”

“My favourite part of the day was the drinks reception and mingling with the guests who were sheltering from the heat of the day under a huge tree. It was a really laid back and relaxed affair which totally suited us. ”
