We had the absolute pleasure of photographing Olivia & Dave's wedding in June 2014 in Rathsallagh House. We have been meaning to blog about their wedding for a long time now and at last here we go :)
The gorgeous couple celebrated their reception in Rathsallagh House in Dunlavin Co.Wicklow. Rathsallagh House boasts truly stunning grounds that are ideal for breathtaking group shots and romantic and natural couple photography.
Enjoy their blog below and check out what they had to say about their fantastic day. Enjoy :)
Here is what Olivia had to say about their day:
What was your favourite part in the lead up to your day?
I did a few things on my own on the lead up to the day like picking up my dress and also getting a manicure and pedicure. It was lovely to get a moment alone in the chaos of the final week to do things like this and realise where it was all leading.
What was the favourite part of your day?
All of it but if I had to pick one thing it was the meal/speeches when it started to get dark and the lighting and atmosphere just added to the amazing day we were already having.
What was your new husbands favourite part of his day?
He couldn't pick one at all, loved every moment of it.
What advice would you have for any future couples?
Get a comprehensive to do list from any website and add or take away yourself, then make sure you and your partner to be sit down and discuss what items are the most important for yourselves, this made it easier for us to allocate funds. I also used an excel spreadsheet which kept us up to date on spending and what items were still outstanding.
For enjoying the day I'd say delegation is key, as then you can let go of the controls and just enjoy yourself. Rathsallagh House were fantastic and took care of everything without us having to lift a finger on the day but we were also lucky to have bridesmaids and groomsmen who were happy to help with anything we asked. Finally we made sure to have a sit down in a quiet corner every so often to have a chat with each other.
